Prayer & Reflection

We believe that prayer connects us to God. There are many ways to pray, including talking to God, listening to God, being in God’s presence, accessing God’s peace after thinking about our failings and asking for forgiveness, being grateful for what we have been given and asking God for help. Or, we might simply want to tell God what’s on our mind and in our heart.

The Lord’s Prayer is the prayer Jesus taught his disciples when they asked him asked him how they should pray.

The Lord’s Prayer

Father, may your name be revered,
May your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us.
And do not bring us to the time of trial.
Amen.
