Monday 25 Christmas Day
Thursday 28 December 12 noon arrival for 12.30pm Commemoration of the Official Opening of St David’s in Hazelwood Park Burnside. We commemorate the very first service of St David’s Parish of Burnside exactly 140 years ago on this date. The first service was held outdoors at the Old School House. This picnic celebrates the amazing milestone of 140 years involvement in Burnside, as it grew from village to city.

Music is an important part of St David’s culture. During our Sunday and Festive services, we sing hymns supported by a 1563-pipe organ.

We also hold concerts of classical and contemporary music. We advertise upcoming events in our weekly newsletter, on our website (see above) and on our electronic notice board in front of the Church. We look forward to you joining us.

In The Community

We are active in our community in other ways to those listed above. We support a number of charities: Australian Board of Missions (ABM), Bush Church Aid (BCA), Leprosy Mission and Anglicare throughout the year, and direct funds to support the work of a guest speaker to the parish. Many concerts have been organised by the Church Organist to send financial aid to assist relief after a major natural disaster anywhere in the world.

We have a weekly collection for the East Adelaide Domestic Violence Service. If you would like to donate canned and long-life food or toiletries, please leave them in the basket in the narthex (the porch of the church).

Preschool children are welcome to join Dave’s Angels Playgroup in the Hall every Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon during term time.
