He is Chaplain to the Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem and Australian Convener for Promotions and Fundraising for the Anglican Centre in Rome. His talk comes from the perspective of his experience with the Anglican Centre’s Work, and of Receptive Ecumenism.

Parish Picnic will be October 21 from 11.30 at St. David’s. This will celebrate National Children's Week which runs from Friday 19 – Sunday 28 October 2018 . We will be having it on Church grounds and as well as the attraction of a good old fashion barbeque we will running different fun activities with the aim of opening up the minds of children to the “meaningful, intergenerational, fun” of church.

Lay Leader meetings
Another significant piece of feedback at the final meeting was a request for lay leader training and particularly leading small groups which I will lead at St Luke’s Modbury on :
Tuesday evening sessions (16, 23 & 30 October) and Thursday day sessions (4, 11, 18 & 25 October).

St David's 130th and 50th Anniversary 2013
A Festive Evensong was held to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the “new” Church and the 130th Anniversary of the establishment of the original church of St David’s Anglican, Burnside to which past curates and priests of St David's during the past 50 years and parishioners who attended the first service attended this significant event.
The trowel used in the laying of the Foundation Stone by CWL Muecke Esq. was presented to St David's by his daughter, Mrs Elizabeth Tolley. The trowel was received by the Rector, Rev'd Joan Riley who was the priest at the time and Bishop Tim Harris (preacher for the service).
