Parish Study Groups
Two study group examine the upcoming Sunday Readings. One meets every second Wednesday evening in the Rectory from 7.30 - 9.00 pm while the other meets on Thursday afternoon of the alternate week at Estia, Portrush Road. The next of the fortnightly study group at Estia will meet at 2.00pm on Thursday 15/2/2018, and the next study at the rectory will be at 7.00pm Wednesday 7/2/2018.

Parish Prayer Group
Come along and join the Prayer Group that meets in the Old Council Chambers on the 4th Monday of the month at 3.00pm ie 26/2/2018 . Please contact Fr Paul for more information.
Burnside Inter-Church Council receives Sustainability Award: At a recent Schools Ministry Group (SMG) Community Event, the Burnside Inter-Church Council (BICC) was presented with a Sustainability Award for the support they provide to schools in their local community. For many years they have raised funds to support SMG’s Chaplaincy and wellbeing services at Burnside Primary School, Glenunga International High School, Marryatville High School and Marden Senior College.
Parish Council News
Firstly, just a reminder that Parish Council minutes are available to read on the bench in the centre of the Church.
Secondly, Parish Council moved a motion at its last meeting that “After each Parish Council meeting, the parish is updated on progress against Motions 9.2 and 9.3 of the Vestry meeting 2017”. Issues discussed at the July Parish Council meeting focussed on the process for achieving the aims of these motions.

Tuesday 3 October 2017 at St Peter's Glenelg - a Public Lecture organised by St Barnabus College. Guest Speaker Dr James Alison, theologian, author and Rene Girard Scholar. Topic : Violence gives rise to Religion : And why popular culture has this back to front.
Friday 1st September 2017 at St Peters Glenelg - explore with Shakespeare what it is to be human,through scenes and speeches from a selection of his plays, sonnets and songs, performed by Independent Theatre actors.
Saturday 2 September 2017 - Prayer Breakfast organised by Burnside Inter-Church Council at St Matthew’s Church 146 Kensington Rd, Marryatville.
Friday 15 September 2017 - Bush Church Aid Annual Spring Lunch.
May 27 to June 3 2017 - Reconciliation Week
