Teaching and Learning

Teaching and learning have always been part of St David’s. These important activities in the life of the parish have ranged from support and training for assistant curates to adult study groups, and children and youth activities.

Teaching is accomplished through sermons, preparation for baptism, marriage, confirmation and admission to Holy Communion, and study groups.   Two study group meets regularly throughout the year on alternate weeks, Thursday afternoons at Estia Home, Portrush Road and Wednesday evening at the rectory. Contact the Parish Priest, Fr Paul Harris on 0435 043 752 for further information.

Special focus study groups are conducted each year, particularly during Lent. Most are held in the Parish Meeting Room, but sometimes a Bible Study series is held in the home of a parishioner.

Wider community learning activities include a Primary Schools Christmas Art Project, organised through the Combined Christian Endeavours Program that reaches more than 30 schools.
